This is a day that promotes the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases in the workplace.

BICS calls to all organisations to recognise this day, as we all know accidents happen and this is why we believe in taking precautionary measures keeping employees safe in the work environment.
According to a United Nations article every day, 6,300 people die as a result of occupational accidents or work-related diseases – more than 2.3 million deaths per year. 317 million accidents occur on the job annually; many of these resulting in extended absences from work.
